This is for women

Whose femininity

Doesn’t on blurred

Shelter-less definitions

Of feminism

Gloat,

But on cushions

Of confidences

crowned.

The sparkling splendours

That our dark

And struggling lives

Dot

You are.

Your sense of place

Perfumes respect,

That sutures the

wounds

Of unhealthy comparisons.

You are the mountains

That visionary men

stand,

And the future

Grasps,

The beacons of Hope

That our stained lives

Torch,

The stars that

Our sorry lives

Like that of

The wise men,

Light.

The fire on your tongues

And blistered knees

On pews

Provoke God

For miracles,

And swells the family

Into heaps of happiness

and growth.

Your level-headedness

Is the pristine rhythm

That transfigures men.

Your motherly bosoms,

Pillows of rest

And peace,

Glue babies and men.

Noiseless in your

Endeavours,

Your works loud

Themselves

In divine praises.

You care not

About negative trends

Nor attentions

In ruptured reputations

That parlays the

Modern feminists,

And in sweltering caverns

Of disgrace,

Leaves them.

Ah,

The sunshine glow,

The warmth that

With buttered smiles

Addresses homes,

The sprouting wings

That reasonable men

Into higher heights

Flutter,

The soft verses

Of reason

That punctures erratic

Nonchalance,

The ancestors’ pride,

The tamed spirit

That angels worship,

The genesis

Of rustling calm,

Worthy is your name.
