THE VOLUPTUOUS SEA

Her quivering waves
In friendly glances
Allured many,
Whom to her
Anaemic waters,
Dived.
The summer splendour
In naked admirations
Plunged many
To her sinking
Banks
Of juicy regrets,
And moral decays.
Schola’s smiles
In shimmering flutters,
Steamed the waves
That in gentle
Sprints,
Flapped the banks.
Ah,
the charm was
Acidic,
The urge, irresistible
And the beauty
In satisfactions,
Unquantified.
Then, all went dark
As the fiery waves
In musically unfriendly
Stares,
Her fluttering feathers
Glued.
Attempts to this
Sore havoc extinguished,
To regrets ears
Swished.
Cathedrals of fears
Her courage waned,
As stained tiredness
Her gulping thoughts
Roofed,
While the neighing
Waves
In insatiate gulps,
Every footprint
Of reason,
Effaced.
Alas,
A sorry sight to
Behold
With no help
From around,
Only chakaps and
videos
From phoney phones,
The streets of social media
Stirred.
In wreckage
Schola bathed,
Flowering in a surge
That coerced tears
While a fisherman
In a diver’s thought,
Braved the troubled
Waters
To Schola’s floating
Body, rescue.
