In barren cheeks,

My tears tumble.

No handkerchief brave

Enough

To my cheeks cushion.

Grey griefs

In subscribed flows,

My sore self

Addressed.

The calm of a yawn

I kindled,

Only for discomfort

To my efforts,

Stitch.

Unwanted pains

My peace raids,

Alas,

Gagged and numbed

In despair’s eyes

I drowse,

As at sunset’s blistering

Light, I bask.

In front of God’s only

Mistake,

At sleep’s throat

I stand,

And court the jealousy

Of divorce,

Of soul and body.

Silence rustled

As my worries

To the golden horizon,

That in holy matrimony

Joint earth and sky,

I howled

But only broken blades

Of echoes received.

God will not answer,

Of course, he’s deaf,

And in condolence

Blankets,

Left me wrapped

While watching the stone

That a year of years,

Wears.

Keep resting in power, papa.
