You domesticate my

Shredded emotions

With passionate fidelity,

Spiced my life

With new impossible

Sex positions.

Ah,

You killed me softly

When in your sheets

I wrap.

You thaw the snowy

Nags

That from my home

Hums

And bless my presence

With respect, stillness,

Care

As the liberty of

eating before I eat,

I have.

You oppress the sour

Looks

And blanketed thoughts

That weary with

Home’s worries,

Crawl,

And sting me

With the light

Of variety,

As on my soul

you autograph what

You are good at.

You whet my life

With sweetness

And suck away

Splinters of hurts,

With carefully chosen

Techniques and whispering

Hushes

That catapult me

Without David’s sling

To the other end

Of paradise.

Your understanding

Rains joy unbridled

To the panes of

My dying soul,

And erases long nights

Of tears and torture.

You hang in my

Heart

Like a divine portrait

Of protection and love.

Your hand is the only

One

In the shadows

I intend holding,

Your luscious lips,

For keeps.

I love and miss

You

Like a long conversation.
